The Challenge Coin Trading Place

cct.thumbnail The Challenge Coin Trading Place

There is a new place for people who collect to come together and check out what is going out there which isn’t branch specific but still meets our expectations of a great playground to meet others with coins we may want. Anyone that is big into challenge coin trading should love this place as it’s huge. We can make groups like Myspace, shoot the wind in the forum, post classifieds for trading, and get some great information on the news of the coin world all in one site.

I guess it doesn’t get to much better than that. So all you challenge coin nuts out there check out Challenge Coin trading .com as you will thank us later for telling you. Trading is fun and it’s a way better alternative to buying coins out there when you have some good stuff to trade in return. Buying challenge coins can make you hesitate a lot because some coins go for a nice bit. In the end it’s just great to have an alternative to the norm.

Places of Interests

Air Force Coins in the Spot Light

We think coins in general are cool. As other branches catch up on placing great coins in the hobby the Air Force has a distinct edge because they have been doing it longer and know what it takes to shine. We have seen a lot of killer coins out there but the Air Force reigns supreme for repeat greatness in the challenge coin arena. Tell your buddies in the Army, Navy, or Marines to get on it and get with their designers to develop some great coins.

We were talking to some fellow collectors and we have some differences of opinions on where the best of the best come from. Some say Ammo coins take the bulk of any kind of greatness in coinland. We have seen some very nice Commanders coins coming out though and the Officer corps might be catching up a bit on the enlisted crew. Let’s hope the stripes don’t lose their edge though.

A New Combat Challenge Coin AST

A New Combat Challenge Coin AST

There is a new challenge coin out there that is amazing to say the least. The guys from AST (Advanced Skills Training) put out a very awesome cutout coin for the Combat Controllers a few months ago. This coin is 1.75” in diameter and really shines. When we got it in our hands we were really impressed with the color and cutout effects. This is a coin any collector would absolutely love to have especially with the limited supply of different Combat Controller coins available on the market.

This coin represents the guys from Hurlburt Field which is next to Eglin AFB. We love the color and the slight 3D on the knife. This is got to be a 9 out of 10 for a coin. It’s clean, and detailed just right in the right respects a coin should receive. We are looking forward to seeing more coins like this out there as it gets a big thumbs up.

Combat Controllers are some mean machines out on the field and these guys do it all, they are the elite fighters of the Air Force that guide aircraft to hidden enemies and do some big damage. Hoorah! to you guys that get the job done out there!
